Allahabad is one of the largest cities of the Indian Union of Uttar Pradesh. The city is located on the meeting spot of three rivers - the Ganga, the Yamuna, and the unseeable Saraswati. This conflux, which is called Triveni, is consecrated to the Hindus. Prayag was the ancient name of the city.
